Dr. James M. O'Leary is a lifelong resident of Waterford, Connecticut where he attended all of the local schools. He received his B.S. degree from The Ohio State University and his DMD degree, Summa Cum Laude from the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston. While at Tufts, he also completed a comprehensive 2-year specialty training program in orthodontics. Dr. O'Leary is a board certified orthodontist who has been a member of Orthodontic Associates since 1988.
Dr. O'Leary is committed to providing his patients with the highest quality, modern orthodontic care. Therefore, he regularly attends continuing education seminars throughout the country to ensure that his patients receive the latest technology and treatment procedures available in orthodontics today.
Dr. O'Leary has served as President of the Tufts University Orthodontic Alumni Association, and he still maintains a close connection with the dental school. He is an active member in the American Association of Orthodontics, and he is also past President of the New London County Dental Society. He is founder and leader of the New England Damon Study Club. Dr. O'Leary has been a member of the Ormco Insiders, an elite orthodontic research and product development team for over 19 years.
Dr. O'Leary resides in Waterford with his wife Karen and son James "JP" O'Leary. During his free time he enjoys, athletic training, skiing, playing golf, boating and watching his son JP play ice hockey, and participate in karate. He is also an avid sports car enthusiast.
